Bathroom Remodeling: Important Considerations
Whether completely remodeling a bathroom, or simply updating the décor, there are two main concepts to keep in mind.
First, create more space—or at least, the illusion of it. The majority of homes have small, cramped bathrooms; half-baths can be little more than closet sized. If taking down a wall isn’t an option, consider other ways to make the bathroom seem more spacious. Don’t use the bathroom for any more storage than necessary. If some cabinets and dense shelving units can be removed, do so. Keep extra towels, and additional bathroom, cleaning, and hygiene supplies in a nearby hall closet. For storage space that is necessary, choose sleeker, more streamlined options—open shelves, instead of bulky wall cabinets—whenever possible. Extra mirrors that lie almost flush to the wall will extend the space also.
Next, choose a theme for the room. A theme can be as simple as choosing a color palette, or it may incorporate a motif. Incorporate the theme with the functional objects of the bathroom—rather than cluttering the space with non-functional knick-knacks. A theme can be expressed using the things every bathroom needs: towels, soap, shower curtains, occasional rugs, and so on.
Mail-Sales Associates, Read This!
I have worked in the mailer business for a long time, and I will be the first to admit that it is tough. While many people will just send out random information to random people, in the end this just wastes supplies without bringing in any profits. It’s a quick way to finish up a quota, but will cost you your job in the long run. Which is why mail-order marketing lists are so great.
These lists aren’t just made for telemarketers. In fact, you can find a lot of marketing data that gives names and addresses, so you can create a viable resource for creating a real target probability. This is done by buying sweepstakes leads, or other lists relating to your field.
This may sound complicated, but it isn’t there are plenty of websites that offer you real names and addresses with a specific category, for example in magazine leads. This will give you all the information you require to begin sending out your mailers and content, without wasting them on people who are probably just going to throw it away.
Not only will this lead to more sales for your company, but it will mean more profits for you, and will secure your career within the business. Just imagine being able to turn your mailer job into an actual career!
In the end, mail-from-home businesses require more than just filling out address forms. Having a good list of leads will go far in getting you the profits you need, without costing you needless supplies.
Enjoy Summer Year-round with Freezer Jam
Anyone can take advantage of summer’s abundance of sweet, and often less expensive fruits by making jam to last throughout the rest of the year, without the fuss of special canning equipment. All that’s needed is fruit, pectin (a natural ingredient that thickens the jam), sugar, and freezer safe jars. Many recipes involving soft fruits don’t even require cooking.
Typically, a no-cook freezer jam requires washing the fruit, and removing any inedible portions (some seeds, pits, and skins, for example), then crushing the fruit with a potato masher. For the best jam, use well ripened fruit. Then a mixture of pectin and sugar is stirred in, before pouring the finished jam into jars. The jars then must sit at room temperature for a period of time, about 30 minutes, followed by freezing. Jam made this way will keep for up to one year.
Not only does making freezer jam allow for a taste of summer all year round, it saves money, especially when one buys fruit in season. Thrifty fruit shopping can bring the cost of the finished product down to only cents per jar.
